Historic Oak
Historic Oak at Kew Primary School
The Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser, AC, unveiled a National Trust plaque and planted a new oak tree to commemorate the heritage listing of the Sessile Oak on Friday December the 8th 2006. The tree was originally planted in 1910 by the then Governor Sir Michael Carmichael, on the occasion of the Kew Jubilee and the official opening of the Junior School Building at Kew Primary School. This event took place on December 8th 1910.
