Internet Safety
The internet is a great tool for everybody to use. It is also important to know how to keep safe whilst using the internet.
Kew Primary School participated in an educational pilot program, ThinkUKnow, designed to help teachers, carers and parents educate children about safety and encourage them to think before they act online. It is a joint initiative between the Australian Communications and Media Authority, the Australian Federal Police and Microsoft. Participants at ThinkUKnow sessions learnt about the types of things young people are doing online, and are given guidance on how to minimise risks and address issues as they arise.
