Kew Primary School is an accredited International Baccalaureate School to teach the Primary Years Program. This program strongly aligns with Kew Primary’s focus on the education of the whole child and their place in the 21st century.

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Our programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right....

The IB Primary Years Program is an inquiry based approach to Teaching and Learning where teachers guide students to construct new and deeper meaning from their current level of understanding. Curiosity is valued and ideas are respected. Students are encouraged to explore, question, hypothesise, research, gather data, test theories and problem solve around a central idea or understanding.
