The 2026 Great Billy Cart Race
Our year 6 leadership program is based around the process of building a billy cart. The students have distinct roles which they apply for. Within their role, they develop the skills of planning, creativity, time management, negotiation and innovation. Students actively explore the concept of leadership throughout the whole process.
To celebrate their achievement, on the afternoon of February 26th, the Year 6 students hosted and competed in our annual Great Billy Cart Race!
They raced around the track cheered on by our younger students, teachers and community.
In addition to this event the Year 6 students offer rides to the younger students, for a gold coin donation, before auctioning off the billy carts with all proceeds going to a charity of their choice.
