Cyber Safety

Year 1 students at Kew Primary recently participated in an engaging cyber safety session titled S.T.O.P. for Safety: Think About How You Feel. Designed for early years learners, the interactive session encouraged students to recognise and understand their emotions while exploring why the online world isn’t always safe. Through fun, movement-based activities, students learned how to identify unsafe feelings such as being scared, worried, nervous, or confused, and practised when to “S.T.O.P”, step back and seek help. The session also introduced students to the different types of people they may encounter online, including familiar, strange, tricky, and unkind individuals. It was a highly enjoyable experience, with students enthusiastically dancing, participating, and building important skills to help them stay safe online.
