Kew Traffic School - Prep

The Preps explored the Kew Traffic School as part of their ‘Sharing the Planet’ Unit of Inquiry.

The central idea of the unit is ‘We can contribute positively to communities’. Throughout the unit, students will inquire into the following:
• What a community is ?
• Communities we are connected to ?
• Important people and places in our community ?
As part of the excursion at the Kew Traffic School, students participated in a road safety education program. The aim is for children to learn road safety in a broad range of everyday scenarios by engaging in imaginative play. The program aims to extend children’s learning about road safety and build their confidence to become more independent road users. Students learned how to be safe on the road pedestrians, cyclists and passengers in a vehicle.
