National Reconciliation Week
National Reconciliation Week provides an important opportunity for students and staff to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives.
This year’s theme, All In, encourages us to consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation through our actions, relationships and learning. Across the school, students will participate in meaningful discussions, literacy experiences, creative responses and performances that celebrate Aboriginal culture, storytelling and identity.
The week began with a whole-school performance, Didgeridoo, Beats & Culture, presented by Ganga Giri on Wednesday 20th May. Through music, rhythm, storytelling and audience participation, students experienced an engaging and memorable celebration of Aboriginal culture.
