Year 6 Market Day
The year 6 unit of inquiry, ‘How We Organise Ourselves’ looks at how economic decisions can impact the environment. The unit looks into how economic systems organise the production and distributions of resources, how financial decisions produce intended and unintended consequences and how ethical and sustainable decision-making supports communities.
The students designed their own class currency, designed products for our target demographic, considered marketing techniques and investigated the entrepreneurial mindset. This culminated in a market day run by the students.
