MAV Maths Game Day

Some of the Year 6s were invited to Math Games Day at Genazzano FCJ College, Kew as part of our Enrichment programme in September. The students participated in mathematical activities with like-minded students from a diverse range of schools.

Maths Games Days are a very effective vehicle for getting young people – particularly in the middle years of schooling – enthused about maths. Teams of 4 students (maximum 2 teams per school) compete in areas of problem solving, creativity, efficiency and contribution to group work. The participants are drawn from those who have a keen interest in mathematics and who can operate as a team. Lateral thinking wins the day.
