Book Week

Term 3, Week 5 was Book Week – a time when we celebrate everything books!

Each year across Australia, the Children’s Book Council of Australia brings children and books together to celebrate Book Week, During this time at school the students and teachers celebrated Australian children’s literature, authors and illustrators. This year students were asked to embrace the theme, "BOOK AN ADVENTURE". Three popular authors visited the school to talk to the students about their books and how they came to be authors. These were Michael Wagner for the year 3/4s, Adam Wallace for the 5/6s and Caz Goodwin for P-2s.

On Friday 22nd August the students came to school dressed up as their favourite book character. There was also a live Book Week Performance from Preps to Year 3s at the gym.
